OLGAbout 400 workers will be casting their ballots on Thursday.  They will take part in an Ontario Labour Relations Board vote on whether or not to become members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada.  The vote is being done in response to the workers’ concerns over OLG’s privitizations plans leading to job losses in the Sault.  In a release earlier this week, Ward 6 councillor Joe Krmpotich talked about the benefits of being part of the union.  In particular, he mentioned the workers have more say and security about various issues such as wages, benefits and working conditions during any privitization process at OLG.  In that same release, PSAC Ontario suggests OLG’s privitization plans could jeopardize any revenue that would earned by a publically-run lottery.
