ForestFireThe Ministry of Natural Resources has reported three new fires over the last couple of days, including Sault Ste. Marie 15.  It is under control at a tenth of a hectare in size.  The other small blazes were in the Parry Sound area.  Sudbury 38 remains held at 438 hectares and a two week old Emergency Area Order around that fire remains in effect.   There are 13 fires burning in the Northeast region right now — nine are being observed, two are under control, one is being held and one is not yet under control.  The fire hazard in Northeastern Ontario is moderate to high, except in the far north where there is a low to moderate risk for forest fires.
