Sault College is pleased to announce yet another commitment to Canada’s future professional pilots with an agreement between the College and Jazz Aviation LP. The airline’s Jazz Aviation Pathway Program (“Jazz APP”) and Sault College’s School of Aviation (Sault College) have collaborated and signed an agreement that benefits students. The agreement includes a pathway for students to gain a direct entry into positions at Jazz Airlines. Jazz and Sault College have evolved the career pathway to make the Jazz Aviation Pathway Program available to top students to have an opportunity for employment as a professional pilot with Jazz.
The industry-leading Jazz APP program and Sault College agreement includes collaboration on training and curriculum to promote safety and professionalism, while providing relevant information on industry best practices. The Jazz APP is aimed at establishing a direct career path for qualifying graduates including flight simulator evaluations, student scholarships, and the opportunity for Sault College’s top-performing Aviation Technology – Flight graduates to transition to first officer positions at Jazz.

New Scholarships Announced:
Jazz also announced the establishment of two new scholarships for Sault College students. Full details of all scholarships can be found on the Sault College webpage.
The Jazz Aviation Pathway Award for Professionalism. This award is given to a full-time student in his or her final year of Aviation Technology diploma program, for outstanding contributions to safety, leadership and professionalism. The Award consists of a $3000 scholarship and an opportunity to participate in the Jazz Aviation Pathway Program selection process. The award recipient will be selected by the College in consultation with Jazz to ensure the criteria as outlined are respected.
The Jazz Aviation Pathway Award for Professionalism and Diversity. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student in his or her final year of Aviation Technology diploma in Flight Operations who has self-identified as an Aboriginal, a person with a disability, a visible minority, or female, for outstanding contributions to safety, leadership and professionalism. The Award consists of a $3000 scholarship and an opportunity to participate in the Jazz Aviation Pathway Program selection process. The award recipient will be selected by the College in consultation with Jazz to ensure the criteria as outlined are respected.
