KIM KARDASHIAN TO BE HONORED WITH WEBBY AWARD: Kim Kardashian will be honored with a Webby Award when the trophies are given out on May 16th. The reality star will be given the inaugural Break the Internet Award. The official press release states, “The award is in recognition of her unprecedented success online and the bold and creative ways she has used the Internet, social media, apps and video to connect with a truly global audience.”

PARIS HILTON PRODUCING A NEW DOCUMENTARY ABOUT HER LIFE: Paris Hilton will be stepping back in front of the camera for a new documentary. The socialite is producing the project herself and says it will explore her life in the spotlight and address the sex tape that made her famous. She is partnering with 9.14 Pictures and XYZ Films.

CBS RENEWS ‘LIFE IN PIECES’: CBS has renewed Life in Pieces for a second season. The show averaged 10.5 million viewers during its freshman season on Thursday nights. The comedy stars Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett and Giselle Eisenberg.

‘SUPERGIRL’ MAY MOVE TO THE CW: The CW is rumored to be picking up Supergirl if CBS decides not to renew the show for a second season. If the deal goes through, production for the show would likely move to Vancouver where Greg Berlanti makes the rest of his CW superhero shows. The first season has averaged 10 million viewers from week to week.

JACK BLACK MAY JOIN ‘JUMANJI’ REBOOT: Jack Black is rumored to be circling a role in the Jumanji reboot starring Dwayne Johnson. The movie will also star Kevin Hart. Production will begin in Hawaii in August and it is set for release on July 28, 2017.

MORLEY SAFER IS RETIRING FROM ’60 MINUTES’: The New York Post is reporting that Morley Safer is retiring from 60 Minutes after 46 years on the show. Safer said in a statement, “After more than 50 years of broadcasting on CBS News and 60 Minutes, I have decided to retire. It’s been a wonderful run, but the time has come to say goodbye to all of my friends at CBS and the dozens of people who kept me on the air. But most of all I thank the millions of people who have been loyal to our broadcast.” Safer’s career on the CBS news show will be celebrated on Sunday (May 15th) with an hour-long primetime special.
