October 23, 2017 (SSM) – Delta Sault Ste Marie Waterfront has partnered with Canadian Blood Services to assist in ensuring lifesaving blood products are available to hospital patients in need. As part of their dedication to their community, Delta Sault Ste Marie Waterfront has generously adopted the November 13, 14 & 15 blood donor clinic and committed to recruit new donors and fill appointments to help collect 288 donations at the clinic.

“We are proud and excited to have the opportunity to help give life in this way,” said Chelsea Hargreaves, who is spearheading the initiative.

“We have been involved with Canadian Blood Services for over many years and find that this is a very rewarding experience. The feeling you get from donating blood and helping to save a life is worth every minute. This year, 100,000 new blood donors are needed across Canada to meet patient needs – including 700 needed right here in our community. We invite Sault Ste. Marie residents to join us and make an appointment to donate blood. While you’re at the clinic in November, remember to fill out a ballet for a chance to win a complimentary One Night Stay with breakfast for 2 at Delta Sault Ste Marie” said Hargreaves.

You can take part by making an appointment to give life at: Bridgeview Banquet Hall, 455 Queen Street West, Sault Ste. Marie
Monday, November 13th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
