In light of the opioid crisis, many police forces in Ontario are considering whether to equip their front line officers with the life-saving naloxone kits.
The issue topped the agenda at last week’s meeting of the board of directors for the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police.

Officers with both the drug and emergency services units, along with court staff and staff that work within the cell area at the police station were equipped with the kits in the early summer.
