The four people facing embezzlement charges in what police have called the biggest such case in Chippewa County history have now been publically identified following arraignment proceedings this week.
Joanie Grove, John Grove, Nicole Grove and Victoria Garber are alleged to have carried out several different types of theft and fraud valued at more than half a million dollars from the Ramada Plaza Hotel Ojibway in downtown Sault, Michigan.
The accused are alleged to have overcharged customer credit cards and refused refunds while the embezzlement was occuring.
The investigation began in the fall and the County Prosecuting Attorney says preliminary examinations are expected in approximately two months time and the investigation is still ongoing.
