Sault Ste. Marie’s Mac Marcoux and guide Jack Leitch of Calgary had quite a weekend competing at what was the final World Cup races ahead of the Paralympic winter games.
In all, Canada’s Para Alpine Ski Team raked in 15 medals at the World Championship in Kimberley, BC including nine first-place finishes and the 20-year old Marcoux and Leitch led the charge.
The pair had four first place finishes.
The results earned the duo the title of IPC Crystal Globe Champions for the 2017-18 season as well as individual Crystal Globes in downhill and super-G.
