The 11th annual memorial march for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls will be held over the noon hour today.
Organizers describe it as an inclusive family event that will be held in front of the Sault Ste. Marie Courthouse.
The open memorial event will include speeches, songs, prayers and other expressions of solidarity.
A march will then follow to The Summit on Queen Street east.
The Memorial March originated 27-years ago on February 14th in Vancouver’s Downtown eastside.
