As Cloverland Electric engaged residents to get involved in the fight for affordable electricity in Michigan’s Eastern U-P, so too is War Memorial Hospital urging residents to get involved in the fight to maintain services.   As part of the new state budget the area hospital stands to lose up to $500,000 in funding.  Nothing is definite yet – but the three person – obstetrics unit appears poised to take the biggest hit.  And that could forced area residents to deliver their babies out of town, in either Petoskey or Marquette.
