On the 1st of April 2015 just before 6 am officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to an address in the 100 block of Wilcox Avenue after receiving a 911 call regarding a robbery.
It is alleged that two males broke into a residence, demanded cash and drugs while pointing a handgun at two adults in the residence.  One of the males threatened to kill the victims if they failed to comply with the demands.
On the 1st of April in the morning hours officers from Patrol Services arrested 44-year old Jerry Leveille of 203 Brien Avenue and charged him with multiple offences.  He appeared in bail court on April 2nd.
Officers from Patrol and Investigation Services have continued working on this investigation and an arrest warrant has been obtained for 25-year old Brodie Barnes of 1-49 Borron Avenue.
The accused is wanted for one count of robbery with a firearm, two counts of pointing a firearm, one count of possession of a weapon to commit an offence, two counts of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of possession of a firearm while prohibited from possessing a firearm and one count of break and enter and commit an offence.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to advise the public not to approach Brodie Barnes but to call 911 immediately.  Mr. Barnes should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to reassure the public that this was not a random act of violence.  The victims and accused persons are known to each other.

On April 1st at approximately 8:00 am City Police officers arrested 44 Jerry Leveille of 203 Brien Ave. with multiple offences. It is alleged that the accused entered a residence in the 100 block of Wilcox Ave. and demanded cash and drugs while pointing a handgun at several people in the residence. Leveille is facing charges of Break and Enter, Robbery, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of Weapon Dangerous to the Public and Breaching a Weapons Prohibition order. He will be appearing in Bail Court on April 2nd. The investigation into this matter is continuing by members of the Detective branch.
