Earn College Credits for Free – SCWI Seeks Candidates

for Dual Credit Business Program

The Sault College Work Initiative (SCWI), a partnership with Sault College, the Algoma District School Board (ADSB) and the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB), is seeking candidates to participate in a Dual Credit Business Program.  

To participate in the Program, recipients must be 21 years of age or under.  The Program will run at Sault College from May 4th to June 5th and is free. The cost for textbooks and transportation are also covered.  On successful completion students will have earned 2 high school and 2 college credits.  

No specific education level is required. No CAAT testing is necessary. Students enrolled in the Dual Credit Business Program will have access to existing college services. 

Course Descriptions:

  • Introduction to Business: understanding concepts used in the business environment; concepts to successfully manage a business entity in Canadian and global markets. 
  • Business Computer Applications: students are introduced to computer applications; word processing spreadsheets; creation and utilization of databases; and preparing business presentations.

This program is ideal for recent high school graduates or students not currently attending high school. This will look great on a resume and will enhance your employment prospects.
