The board of governors of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has unanimously approved the addition of three franchises including the return of teams from Sault, Michigan and Espanola.  The Soo Eagles return to the league following a three year stint in the North American Hockey League.  Also joining the league will be French River Rapids as the club will play out of Noelville.  The Espanola club will be known as the Espanola Express.
