Canada 150

Saultites will have a chance to experience 360 degree film technology this summer with a screening of the film Horizon as part of Ontario’s Canada 150 celebrations.
A portable dome structure will be travelling to six Ontario communities from June to August and the tour will make a stop in Sault Ste. Marie from July 16th to 20th.
The 20-minute film Horizon features scenes shot in every province and territory, showcasing Canada’s landscapes and the perspectives and talents of the people that make up our country–the screenings of the film will be free.
Sesqui is a partner in the Canada 150 celebration and is behind the film and the technology—-company co-founder Joanne Loton talks about the dome…

The Ontario tour which also includes Thunder Bay in the north, is anticipated to provide a 10.5-million dollar economic impact.
Sesqui is described as an independent non-profit company that is funded by the two senior levels of government and is based in Toronto.
