The 32nd annual Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge Walk is coming up on Saturday.  The theme this year is “Celebrating International Friendship.”  The walk comes at a time when relations between Canada and the United States are tense and tariffs on steel exports to the United States have people wondering what the impact on Algoma is going to be.

Chamber of Commerce CEO Rory Ring was a guest on KiSS Mornings on Tuesday and talked about the history of relations between the two Saults and about how to be a part of the walk on Saturday.  Before the interview, James Warner-Smith played part of a recording that US President John F. Kennedy made for the opening of the International Bridge in 1962.

For more information on the Bridge Walk is available through the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Chamber of Commerce or the Sault Ste. Marie Michigan Chamber of Commerce
