Miranda Mayhew visited KiSS Mornings on Thursday to talk about the 7th Annual 5K Soo Walk/Run to Cure F.O.P. which is coming up this Saturday at Roberta Bondar Pavilion.  F.O.P.stands for Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva and two people from the Sault and area are among only 3500 around the world who’ve been diagnosed with disease.  Miranda explained what the disease is and talked about the event.

Here are the details on the walk/run.  It’s this Saturday at Roberta Bondar Pavilion.  Registration starts at 9 a.m. Race starts at 10 am. Free face painting by Taylor’s Fancy faces from 9-10 am.  Registration fee: $10 per person or free with $50+ pledges collected.  All money raised goes to the Canadian Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Network, to fund research towards treatments and a cure.  Participation prize draw!  Prizes for top fundraisers!
