The 2018 Coffee Break® is here and this is an easy way for you to make sure the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District can continue to provide much needed services to people in Sault Ste. Marie and area affected by the disease.

Bea Fioramanti, the Resource Development Coordinator for the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District was a guest on KiSS 100.5 Mornings and talked about how hosting a Coffee Break® can help and can be as simple as brewing a pot of coffee.

You can brew your pot of coffee at home or at work and inviting your friends, family or colleagues to enjoy a cup.  A Coffee Break® can be large or small, simple or elaborate and can be held anywhere.

The local Alzheimer Society has experienced almost a 50% increase in the number of clients over the past year.  1 in 10 individuals over the age of 65 are living with dementia and over 2,800 local residents and their families are affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
