As of 9 this morning, the fire remained active at the Studio 10 building on Queen Street west but the fire had been contained.
There are apartments in the upper floors and there hasn’t been any indication of injuries.
The call came in at 11:30 last night and city police have blocked off a section of Queen Street west from Carmen’s Way to Huron Street.
Police have indicated that the road will remain blocked off for a good part of the day if not the entire day as the investigation has yet to get underway.

Sault Ste. Marie, ON (2019 02 11) – Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services continue to contain the fire
that has been burning at 89 Hudson St. since last evening.
All citizens are asked to avoid the area until the fire has been brought under control. Emergency
response units are on the scene and in the process of dealing with the incident.
The Korah Road transit route has been redirected and will be using Huron and Albert inbound
and outbound. Please contact City Transit at 705-759-5438 for additional information.
Red Cross is on scene to assist those impacted by the fire.
The incident is currently being jointly managed by the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM),
Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services and Sault Ste. Marie Police Services.
