For the second time this month, the price at the pump has increased in the Sault.
Following the federal government’s carbon price adjustment early this month, the price here in Sault Ste. Marie has increased another 8 to 9 cents.
The going rate is now over $1.28 a litre for regular unleaded.
The province-wide average is $1.20.6.
Over in the Michigan, Sault, the going rate is $2.79 a gallon which when factoring in both the differences in the currencies and a litre compared to a US gallon, works out to the Canadian equivalent of 98.2 cents a litre.
