Celebrate Canada Day, July 1st by taking part in the 9th Annual John Rowswell Hub Trail
Festival. This is a free, family event that encourages everyone to Walk, Ride or Roll your way
along the Hub Trail from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome — walkers, cyclists, inline
skaters, and anyone with assistive devices and mobility aids. This event happens rain or
shine.
Start at any one of the passport stations: At each station you will receive a stamp on your
passport for the section of trail you’ve completed. You can go to one station or visit them all.
Keep your eyes open for fun activities, great give-a-ways and more.

Participants who visit at least one passport station are asked to return their passport to
the Passport Drop-Off station under the Algoma Farmers’ Market tent near the Roberta
Bondar Park and Tent Pavilion before 2 PM to enter into prize draws. The prize draw takes
place at 3:00 p.m. under the Roberta Bondar Tent. Winners must be present to claim
prizes.
The 2019 Hub Trail Festival Grand Prize winner will receive a $600 gift certificate to
Velorution, which can be redeemed on any purchase, generously sponsored by Back In
Motion and Velorution.
The Hub Trail Festival is pleased to welcome a new community partner and passport station
this year, the Sault College Waterfront Adventure Centre. Located right off the Hub Trail on
the St. Marys River at the former RYTAC site. Get your passport stamped and stop in for a
tour of their exciting new facility. The Waterfront Adventure Centre site will offer tennis, pickle
ball, beach volleyball courts as well as rentals for canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle
boarding and a breathtaking view of the river on their waterfront patio. The Grand Opening of
this fantastic facility will take place on Friday, June 28, 2019.
Please remember assistive mobility devices are welcome, recreational scooters and electric
bikes are prohibited.
