It’s hard to believe that ten years have passed since his death. It’s not hard to understand that he left the world of popular music forever changed.
Michael Jackson, the “King of Pop” died June 25, 2009, leaving behind a musical legacy that few other artists have achieved. At the time of his passing he was history’s best-selling musician and his album “Thriller” is still the biggest seller of all time. Jackson’s cultural influence was felt far beyond the recording industry. His unique choreography, fashion and style made him an icon. His ever-changing appearance, relationships and reclusive behaviour made him the subject of rumour and controversy.

In 2016, his estate earned $825 million, the highest yearly amount for a celebrity ever recorded. From “Billy Jean” to “Bad”, he recorded 13 number one singles and was the first artist to have a top ten single in five different decades. Ten years on, one thing is clear – there will never be another artist to match Michael Jackson.
