Online dating has been a big thing for a while now, and a lot have people have met their partners online thanks to apps like Tinder, Bumble, POF Match.com & eHarmony. Now researchers predict that by the year 2037, more children will be born to couples who met online than couples who met offline. 

Researchers from eHarmony and the Imperial College Business School found that: 

  • 32% of relationships started between 2015 and 2019 began online. 
  • Compared to 19% that began online between 2005 and 2014.

So you may be asking why 2037? Well researchers point to that 35 % of couples who met online say they had a baby within a year of meeting. that’s why they say by 2037 more babies will come from couples who met online than from couples who met offline.
