The Snow Moon is coming soon. That’s the name of the full moon that will be lighting up the night sky on February 8th and 9th (Saturday and Sunday.) NASA says the so-called “snow moon” will reach its peak at 2:33 a.m. Eastern time on Sunday (February 9th.)

Some experts say this qualifies as a Supermoon, which is a phrase coined by NASA that is “when a full moon appears at perigee [its closest point to Earth]” and therefore seems slightly brighter and larger than a regular full moon.
