The fifth annual Sault Ste. Marie Science Festival – the only festival of its kind in the area runs from April 23rd through to April 27th, 2019
The week-long event will highlight science, and technology through several activities which includes the following public events:


It’s Not Rocket Science Trivia Night! (19+)

When: Tuesday, April 23rd @ 7pm

Where: Centennial Library (50 East St.)

Ticket Info: $15.00 each or $50.00 for teams of four

*Tickets available for purchase at the Centennial Library or Korah Branch.

**Limited seating is available. Prizes and Cash Bar.


Science Carnival

Join us at the Machine Shop on Saturday, April 27th for the community event that provides science and technology fun for the whole family!

Kids, parents, grandparents, neighbours, friends and relatives – get ready to explore, discover and peak your curiosity with over 20 science, technology and engineering exhibitor hands-on activities.

Get buggy with exotic insects from Entomica, place an order with Sault College’s Chef and Walter Robotic arm, get up close and personal with a sea lamprey, dig for worms, program some robots, craft some scientific art, do some trading at the Northern Nature Trading station with the Canadian Heritage Bushplane Centre, kids yoga, and so much more!

Delight and discover in the live science shows delivered by Science North’s very own Bluecoats in “Light Me Up” and “Hot & Cold”. Plus, get your face painted, take home a balloon character from The Balloon Guy, or take a selfie with ARTIE the robot!

When: Saturday, April 27th @ 11am – 4pm

Ticket Info: $2 per person or $10 per family (Cash Only)
