The results of a new study suggest you probably should make a cut off time for using electronics. The data shows the average adult spends eight hours and 21 minutes per day sleeping, and eight hours and 41 minutes on their devices. In fact, 81 percent of smartphone users have their phone switched on at all times, even while they’re in bed. Fifty one percent admit they spend more time checking emails and using the internet than they do eating breakfast (18%) or primping (32%.) Dr. Nerina Ramlakhan, a sleep and energy coach, recommends turning off all devices at least 60 to 90 minutes before going to sleep in order to give the mind time to wind down. She adds, “It is crucial that people recognize the importance of a good night’s sleep. The health risks associated with chronic sleep debt can cause a variety of problems [potentially leading to lifelong health issues.]” (Daily Mail) (Image: en.wikipedia.org)
