Work is set to start in June on the next phase of the Canadian Plaza Redevelopment Project.  The Federal Bridge Corporation announced yesterday that this is when work will start on building the new CBSA facilities. The 32.9 million dollar work includes construction of a new traffic building.  This will be the temporary home of both traffic and commercial operations while the new commercial building is built.  This phase follows work done last year that included the construction of the new Duty Free Building and maintenance garage and the demolition of the old building.  The work is being supported by funding through the Gateway and Border Crossing Fund is scheduled to be completed by March 2018.
