City council was told at last night’s meeting that the Police Services Board is looking into the merits of contracting out winter parking enforcement services.
A resolution had been brought forward by ward 3 city councillor Matthew Shoemaker calling on city staff to carry out a review and was told last night the Police Services Board is already in the process of reviewing the matter.

A proposal to reinstate leaf and yard waste collection over the summer months will be considered during council’s upcoming budget deliberations.
In its last budget, council decided as a cost saving measure to no longer carry out the collection in July, August and September providing savings of around 60-thousand dollars.
The matter was briefly discussed at last night’s meeting and was treated as an information item.
