The Sault Region Conservative Authority has issued an advisory ahead of what is a very wet forecast.
We are entering a warming trend and the forecast over the next two days is calling for 25 millimetres of rain.
The snow depth across the watershed is averaging 95.3-centimetres.
Much of the anticipated precipitation will be absorbed into the existing snowpack but some runoff will occur.
Currently, local rivers, creeks and streams are flowing at normal levels.
The Authority does not anticipate flooding in local waterways as a result of the increased water levels and flows.
The City’s Public Works and Engineering Department are managing drainage concerns as the week progresses.
